DoomBuggies on Extinct Attractions Radio
I was interviewed by David Oneal on Extinct Attractions Radio last night, to promote the release of the DVD from our Swinging Wake event, which was held last February at Disneyland Resort. The disc includes a peek into the private "Disney Legends" reception held in the Grand California's Napa Rose, as well as a recording of the entire Blue Bayou event, which was one of Imagineer Harriet Burns' last public appearances. The event also featured Disney Legends Bob Gurr, "X" Atencio, and Blaine Gibson, as well as Randotti heir Jeff Smith, creator of those glowing plaster skulls the Baby Boomers used to love to buy as kids at the park. Hell, even Dr. Horrible himself makes an appearance on the disc!
David asked me about the origins of the event and the DoomBuggies website, and it was a pleasant conversation. Check out the Extinct Attractions Radio podcast here, and order a copy of the "Swinging Wake" DVD here.
RIP.
